The Toronto Academy of Acting For Film & Television Offers New Programs in USA

Offers an exciting opportunity – for students to learn film acting in Hollywood California with top casting directors, celebrity coaches and professional actors in showbusiness!

This Hollywood Trip is designed to help actors "understand what it takes to make it in Hollywood" and provide them with the opportunity to train with top casting directors who are based in Hollywood. We realize that building your body of work and connecting with the right people is what is going to help you succeed faster and get working faster. If you’re a Canadian actor and wanting to see what it is like in LA and the similarities and differences between Canada and US and obtain information about the competitive market. You will need to do some research first and that is what this field trip is designed for!!

Study with Hollywood based instructor who has worked in the entertainment industry since 2003, emigrated from England, studied at Guildhall and RADA in the UK and at Playhouse West in LA. Working in Los Angeles as an actor, writer, director, agent and casting director on a multitude of projects, both in front of and behind the camera, on stage and on set. Former work includes projects for Coca-Cola, Dunkin Donuts, WB, Microsoft, Ives Street Entertainment, The Getty Villa and Argent media among others and coaching celebrity clients. The fun also get to have fun after class as well. We will provide organized tours for our students to visit exciting things like a VIP tour to of Warner Brothers studios and view celebrity homes in Hollywood and as well major tourist attractions. Dine and see popular hot spots and maybe some celebrities. You will also have the privilege possibly see a real live film set and casting session. Accommodations will also be arranged for you. You don’t need to worry about anything everything is arranged for you.

All graduating students will have the opportunity to showcase their talent with their own professionally edited and produced demo reel, featuring two acting scenes. A “demo reel", or "show reel" is the equivalent of an artist's portfolio and a must-have for any aspiring actor.
